Rather than developing entire courses and adapting them to multiple audiences, EthAssist™ provides the ability for single course instances to be modified and republished for various audiences maintaining versions and history. It is designed to provide the healthcare industry’s educators with current information on healthcare ethics and requirements.

The ethics topics contained in EthAssist™ have imbedded reusable learning objects (RLO’s) that provide the user with a brief video lecture on individual subject matter topics. A common understanding of an RLO is that it provides a small chunk of learning activity, built around a single learning objective.  The bioethicists at ICB have researched, synthesized, and incorporated the latest knowledge and best-of-breed practices and theories into the searchable database of Knowledge – ICB.
